How Oddly Useful makes money
Oddly Useful is a free service. We fund the site through several revenue sources:
- Display advertising — ads served by Google AdSense and Ezoic appear on our pages. We aim to place ads where they don't interfere with your use of our tools.
- Affiliate links — some tools recommend products or services through affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
- Sponsored tools — some tools or categories may be supported by a sponsor. Sponsorships are always clearly disclosed, and sponsors never influence calculation results.
- Lead generation — certain high-intent tools (e.g., mortgage calculators, removal cost estimators) may offer you the option to request quotes from relevant providers. This is always optional and clearly separated from the tool result.
